A royal visit caused a splash at a Chesterfield school this week when Princess Anne made a whistle-stop tour of the town.
She visited Ashgate Croft School to give the new swimming pool the royal seal of approval before heading onto Derbyshire Probation's Chesterfield office.
Ashgate Croft, which caters for youngsters with special needs, opened its pool following a huge fundraising drive.
The Princess Royal unveiled a commemorative plaque and toured classrooms.
Headteacher Michael Meaton said: "It is a great honour, one which we know our pupils will remember for many years to come."
At the probation office the Princess was shown a project which has seen the centre team up with Derby College in Ilkeston to give offenders the opportunity to gain a City and Guilds qualification in horticulture.
The project has won an award from the Butler Trust which Princess Anne is patron of.
