A 90 year old woman was left in a state of shock after a pair of robbers forced their way into her home.
The two offenders knocked on the door of the pensioner's house in Woodthorpe, Chesterfield, around 7pm on Friday.

They forced past her and one man searched the kitchen before the pair took her upstairs and demanded she told them where her valuables were kept.

A police spokesman said: "They went through all her possessions before leaving the very frightened lady in a state of shock."

It is thought the men may have escaped with items of jewellery.

One of the offenders is described as white, of slim build, with short dark hair and wore a white T-shirt and black leather gloves.

The other is also a white male, around 5ft 10, in his mid to late 20s with dark hair.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the Woodthorpe area around the time of the incident to contact them on 0845 123 3333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
