Green-minded kids answered a call for help when they collected more than 30 unused mobile phones for a recycling scheme and raised nearly £100 for their Staveley school.
Norbriggs Primary, on Norbriggs Road, at Mastin Moor, took on Corporate Mobile Recycling's Foneclub appeal to help the environment and were rewarded with a £92.50 cash boost.

Foneclub spokesman Jessica Hinchcliffe said: "We're running this initiative to help schools raise valuable funds for resources while encouraging environmental awareness and recycling among families and youngsters."

Pupils and parents donated 37 broken and obsolete mobile phones and CMR donated £2.50 back to the school for every handset the London-based recycling company received.

% Schools wishing to take part in a similar campaign are urged to call Jessica on 0207 404 6440 or visit the website www.foneclub.org.uk for details.
