Post office chiefs say that the planned closure of a north Derbyshire post office is only temporary and they hope it will reopen in the near future.
Pilsley Post office on Morton Road at Pilsley, near Chesterfield, is set to close on July 14.

The premises will be unavailable for use as a post office after that date but Post Office Ltd hopes to restore a service in the village as soon as possible.

Field change adviser Dave Smith said: "We apologise for the inconvenience this temporary closure may cause but we are committed to maintaining a presence in the Pilsley community.

"While the branch is closed, people are advised to use Morton Post Office on Main Road, Stonebroom Post Office on High Street, or any branch of their choice."
