Three crews of firefighters have been tackling a house blaze in Chesterfield this morning.
The blaze broke out at 9.15am on Brooks Road, Barrowhill, and engulfed the property and road with smoke.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: "We received a call that there was a large amount of smoke in the area and initially sent two appliances but, due to the scale of the incident, a third appliance was also sent out."
Police were also called out to the scene to help cordon off the area.
The blaze was thought to have started in an upstairs bedroom and the property was believed to be empty.
