PUPILS gathered a bumper crop of goodies for their school's harvest festival.
The foyer of Calow Church of England Primary School was filled with the donations of fresh fruit and veg, plus stacks of cans and jars, from children and their families.

The food will be sold in aid of the Bishop of Derby's chosen charity, which this year is the church's work in Sudan.

Headteacher Martin Thacker said: "Our school is proud of the way in which we engage with the local community and support worthy causes.

"Parents of our pupils continue to demonstrate their generosity and have always assisted in fund-raising in numerous ways."

The school held a harvest festival service at St Peter's Church on Monday, October 13.
