How do you relate to a boss who's a turkey? What do you do when money's too tight to mention? How do you cope when a new baby keeps you awake all night?
These are just a few of life's common challenges addressed by Simon and Hazel Robinson in their new book, Pickups for Hiccups.
Simon said: "We'd seen lots of books about big trials, which are very helpful, but we haven't got anything that helps people in everyday things.
"People can think those things are unimportant but it's very important to you at that time and can throw you off course.
"For example, when you've got a child who doesn't sleep that affects everything."
The book covers struggles with family, money and work, with some sections addressing specific issues faced by Christian believers, including church fall-outs and spiritual struggles.
YoungTwo chapters, 'Hiccups for Youth' and 'Hiccups in Education', are targeted at a younger audience and answer worries about image, friends and exams.
With headings including "Am I in the right job?", "Passed over for promotion – again", "Kids at war", "The empty nest", and "I'm not in with the 'in' crowd", the Robinsons say their book contains advice relevant to everyone.
Hazel said: "There's a broad spectrum and something for most people, not just Christians. "When your children are being bullied or you're coping with teenagers, people need all the help they can get."
