A theatre company is honouring the centenary of the First World War with an innovative adaptation of Shakespeare’s brutal tragedy Macbeth.

Heartbreak Productions bring the open-air drama to Nottingham Castle on Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23, at 7pm.

Set in a rehabilitation centre, the creation focuses on soldiers commemorating the lives of those they have lost. Witchcraft, manipulation and murder ensue as the comrades attempt to recover from the physical and mental scars of war.
