An author hopes her new children's book can help her village church buy a much-needed disability ramp.
Betty Dye has promised to donate all profits she makes from The Winter of Magical Letters to Ambergate Church’s campaign to build the £26,000 ramp.

The book tells the story of a shy boy’s attempts to outwit a computer crook, beat school bullies and solve the mysteries surrounding his own life.

The Winter of Magical Letters will be available in shops from July 10.
