A Chesterfield teenager who scored straight As in her exams helped her Sheffield school achieve its best ever results.
Claire Hassall, a pupil at Birkdale School, gained three A grades and a merit in the business studies higher A level paper.
The school had an overall pass rate of 99 per cent, with almost half of entries resulting in A grades and nearly three-quarters Bs and above.
Headteacher Robert Court said: "These are outstanding results. I am delighted that so many of our pupils have achieved such high grades and have secured their places at university to further their academic studies."
