SIR — Through your letters page, please can I thank all of the Clay Cross residents and businesses who have given us their views on plans to regenerate the town. All the contributions and suggestions residents have made through their local knowledge and interests have been tremendous and very helpful.
We have been overwhelmed with the response, with hundreds of people attending consultation sessions. We have also received back almost 1,000 survey forms. This is very encouraging because it shows that Clay Cross people care passionately about the future of their town and want to work with NE Derbyshire District Council and our partners to bring about improvements.

Over the coming weeks we will be pulling all of these comments together and they will be used to finalise our plans for the regeneration.

For updates on the results of the consultation and progress on the regeneration plans, people can visit www.claycross2020.org.uk

Although the initial consultation is now closed, people can still register their comments on the Clay Cross website discussion forum.

Cllr Peter Riggott,
Member Champion, Clay Cross Regeneration Scheme NEDDC, Member Clay Cross South,
Derbyshire County Council
member for Clay Cross.
