CHRISTMAS is coming and many of us will be planning to celebrate it with a party.

That was certainly the case with the group who donned fancy dress for what we think could well have been a dance.
But when it was taken and where is something that we have no idea about.
The picture belonged to Mrs Dorothy Brassington (nee Collins) who lived in Wigley in the 1930s and 40s.
It has been sent in to us by her daughter-in-law Amanda Brassington, from Birdholme, in Chesterfield, who inherited the picture and wonders if any recognises it.
You can post a comment on the foot of the story; email us at editorial@derbyshiretimes.co.uk; or write to us at: Memory Lane, Derbyshire Times, Station Road, Chesterfield, S41 7XD.
