As another school year came to an end this week, we recapture times past at Dunston Primary School in Chesterfield.
This picture has been sent in by P. Hooper from Smithfield Avenue, Hasland — who is on it — and was taken about 1959/60.

Mr Hooper was given the picture by Mr Roy Briddon, whose mother had kept it for many years.

The names of pupils and teachers that he is able to put to the photograph are:

Back row (left to right): Hooper, Briddon, Hopkinson, —, Higgins, Gear, —, Pepper, Gyte, Nuttall, Cordwell.

Third row: Ullayet, Hewitt, Monks, Cowlishaw, Millthorpe, King, Coupe, Paulson, Kirk, Buttery, Pace, Lowe.

Second row: Booker, —, Kelley, Bradley, McLeish, Powell, Gibson, —, Ball, Heathcote, —.

Front row: Knight, Barthorpe, —, Lowe, — Askin, Downing, Godrey, Nadin, Fields.

If you can fill in any of the missing names write to us at: Memories, Derbyshire Times, Station Road, Chesterfield.
