The young lads were undefeated NE Derbyshire Junior League champions that season — winning 17 out of their 18 games and drawing the other. They also scored 78 goals and conceded just seven.
On top of that the side won both the B. Beck Cup and the Ernest (Nudger) Needham Trophy.
If that wasn't enough, Poolsbrook also shared the H. C. Chambers Trophy.
This photograph of the lads has been sent in by George (Tony) Stevenson, from Lime Avenue, Staveley, who is pictured on the far right on the back row. His cousin John, who played in goal, is in the middle of the same row.
The school's sports master was Mr G. Taft and other players in the line-up are S. Wallace, P. Dawson, D. Otter (captain), M. Potter, A. Montgomery, T. Derricott, E. Hardwick, R. Brown and T. Poxton.
