Leah Grayson's photo of the Anchor football team from Bolsover (Mailbox, June 12) brought a quick response from two of the players featured — Paul Wrath and skipper David Orwin.

Both told us that the picture was taken after the Chatsworth Cup win over Eastwood FC from Hasland ( in the 1975-76 season says David).

Paul says that the final was played on Staveley MW's ground — and after two replays, which were drawn 3-3, Anchor won the third game 3-1. He scored two of the gaols and Andy Wrath the other.

Paul and David have listed the players as: back row (left to right) — Mick O'Donnel, Ged Cutts (goalkeeper), David Meades Dunc Mitchell and Andy Wrath.

Middle row: Col Alsop, Paul Wrath, John (Coke) Stokes, Tony Lucas.

Front row: Phil Dodswoth, Jonny Barton, D. Orwin and John (Pont) Clifford.

"Thanks Leah for sending this photograph. They were great times," said Mr Wrath — a sentiment echoed by his former skipper.
