Headgear is in fashion at the moment.
But it is nothing new — as this picture of Spital Junior FC in 1924-25 proves.

Two of the players can be seen wearing jaunty hats that would not look out of place in the 21st century.

The picture has been sent in by Bob Flaxman, from Hasland.

He has supplied two names. Joe Browitt is the second player from the left on the back row. And the fifth person on the right he thinks could be Wilf Cook.
