CRICH Tramway Village — home to the National Tramway Museum — attracts thousands and thousands of visitors each year.

But when these pictures were taken the attraction was in its infancy.

In fact, it had been open for just two years when it took delivery of a Glasgow tram on a day when snow lay on the ground.

Built in 1929 the tram — known as a Kilmarnock Bogey — is now on display in the museum.

If you want to see it, and all of the other vintage trams there, the village is open daily until November 2 from 10am until 5.30pm.
